Greetings
everyone!
I just realized that I do quite
a number reviews of movie that adapted from book. Here it is another one, Love, Rosie. The book
entitled Where Rainbows End by Cecelia Ahern. Does the author rings any bell? She
is so talented and so good in writing and never disappoint her readers. In the
book version, it is all are letters between Rosie and Alex.
They were two best friend until
Alex moves to America to pursue his study. Then everything turned the other way
around. In the middle, things got complicated and I got frustrated. To be exact,
here is the synopsis given by imdb : Rosie (Lily Collins) and Alex (Sam Claflin)
have been best friends since they were 5, so they couldn’t be possibly right
for one another… or could they? When it comes to love, life and making the
right choices, these two are their own worst enemies. One awkward turn at 18,
one missed opportunity... and life sends them hurling in different directions.
But somehow, across time, space and different continents, the tie that binds
them cannot be undone. Will they find their way back to one another, or will it
be too late? Based on Cecelia Ahern's bestselling novel "Where Rainbows
End", LOVE, ROSIE is a modern comedy-of-errors tale posing the ultimate
question: Do we really only get one shot at true love?
I admit that the movie is typical romantic comedy movie. But the variety
of the conflicts and the sweet vibrant given by the golden touch of the
director, Christian Ditter live up the movie. For those who are seeking a sweet
comedy and heavy romantic, you can watch this one. Lily Collins was really done
her part very well and so does Sam Claflin.
