Greetings everyone!
This movie had leaved a big hole in
my heart as it is all about family values and friendship. It was set in World
War 2, tells about a life of a boy named Bruno, a son of a commandant in a
concentration camp located somewhere in Germany. He was quite rebellious at the
first moment they moved as he has no friends there. His sister and he was
home-schooled by their father with a special teacher that only taught them
about conspiracies of Adolf Hitler. Bruno get bored easily. It was not his
thing. All he wanted to do all day was playing.
One day, he discovered something
suspicious from the backyard. He thought it was a playground but actually it
was a concentration camp for the Jews. He wanted to know details so he escaped
from his house and went there several times. From there, he built a forbidden
friendship with a Jewish boy named Shmuel.
After went through a lot of things,
Bruno decided to help Shmuel find his father so he got into the camp and to be
short he was burnt together with Shmuel. His parents regretted for what they
had done. For me, this movie has been a successful. It was adapted from a novel
with the same title written by John Boyne. The striped pajama here symbolized
the uniform worn by the Jews in every concentration camp respectively
symbolized Shmuel. This is tragic yet deeply moving story of friendship I have
ever watched. I admit that I cry at the ending of the movie as it is end just
like that. It shows their friendship lies between them together.
I am highly recommending this movie
to every types of audiences for everyone to judge and understand the friendship
and family values in the movie itself.
bye!
He looked down and did something quite out of character for him: he took hold of Shmuel's tiny hand in his and squeezed it tightly.
"You're my best friend, Shmuel," he said. "My best friend for life.
